Title: Muskets and Tomahawks question?
Post by: racm32 on 27 April 2015, 12:09:41 AM
For the Studio Tomakawk's rules Muskets and Tomahawks how would you class British Landing Parties? They are not there but not sure which unit type would be best to use for them.

perhaps and might bump up their aggressiveness and defense since they are use to melee. and/or a +1 to first round of melee if equipped with melee weapons?

Hi Rob, As they were a tough fighting force onboard ship, i see no reason they would be any different on land. I'd probably field them with the Government highlanders stats.

I think regulars or grenadiers for marines, and agreee perhaps regulars or provincials with one shot weapon to reflect pistols, I wouldnt give navy the firing line trait though

That all makes sense to me chaps, pretty much the sort of thing I was planning to do with my Galloping Major 18th Century Sailors. Far more hard-case than militia, high rated in hand-to-hand, less effective in volleys etc  :)

I definitely think they should be the same as regulars for morale.

If anyone ends up playtesting anything, please share.
