hugh,
i'm back with a new concept for terrain elements. ;)
After my topic about the Canoes scratchbuiding topic (see here (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=75279.0))
i propose you to create some pallisades for an indian village made with ...........................Dog food !
These elements can be use too for Maori fort Pà .
Yes you read it well.

For more details of the use of these product go to my blog (http://chti-reanimator59.blogspot.fr/2015/04/le-re-animator-se-met-table.html). and use the translator button.
So we start with the material :

you have to be carefull with this material because the sticks can be very fragile. Then i add a paper-wire string (from flower hobby use as links)
i make it stronger with a coat of glue-varnish before painting the elements.
that's give at the final step :

Nice idea.

lol That's a great idea.
Does the smell go when you paint them though ;)
I can't imagine they would last that long though ???

thanks guys,
I keep my stock in a tupperwear style box in a dry local for at least 10 years. :D
The smell disappear with the black undercoat sprayed upon the elements. ;)
however, i don't know if this prevent a dog to detect the sticks and then attack the pallisades for his meal.. :P
My cat don't for the moment
Cheers

Ha, ha! Genius...dog food!
Of course, if you're in the US, I highly recommend Acheson Creations. Very cheap and very sturdy!
