I've started re-painting my old GZG figs, these were bought a long time ago (in a galaxy far way) to supplement my 25mm WEG Star Wars figs as they match up well. These will also see service as extras for 7TV.
I have a bunch more to do, then I'll dig out the WEG figs and start on them. Hopefully by the time the prequel comes out I'll be able to field a decent SWMB game!

Loving their old-skool chunky goodness, and your paint work and basing!
-
they look really good indeed!.
i'm looking over denizen or GZG in order to make some conversions: i need a couple of Bespin guards miniatures. I like the caps on the second squad. Are they Mercenaries? i'd conside come bodies like the upper ones, but better without big guns, just blaster pistols you know. do you have some GZG withou painting? Do you have any suggestion?.
Anyway i like your work! ;)

Yup have a load to add some variety to my hoth rebels and even some full armoured types for old republic troopers proxies. Well worth looking at for WEG definitely. Would have picked some up at salute but John only carries his 15mm stuff at shows now.

+huesped the figs are: (top) NSL Jaegers & (bottom) ESU Heavy Infantry. the ESU figs all (except the officer) wear helmets although it's not clear in the photo.
So far all the figs have either old paint or new paint jobs. As I strip and repaint I'll post pics. Currently on the desk are ESU Naval Infantry - so far just undercoated I'll post a pic later in the week, I think that these could make great Bespin Guards...
-
Ok, thanks, i do have the GZG miniature list , but its pics are too small and become too pixeled to see what i'm looking for. On the other hand, most of Officers or Ship crewmen - that perhaps would work- have no pic.
Maybe some Jaegers ( without heavy equipment would do the job) but anyway i'm looking some sort of "officer or spaceship officers" uniforms, more elegant and tigh fitting. Any advice??

NSL with a little helmet modification will make great rebel commandos. Maybe even with a pressmould headswop too?
-
Good idea, Commander;
but i'm looking for Bespin Wind guard props. i think i could handle the caps Sculpting anyway.
that's why i'm looking for reference pics of Officers or Starship crew members.

hi all
As promised i've take a quick snap of the Naval Infantry currently on the painting table, alas they were already undercoated. My plan is to paint them in blue & white and use them as either elite Alderaan Navy or generic security forces.
Huesped I haven't come across any minis that fit the Bespin style except the WEG imperial officer figs such as Moff Tarkin and Gen. Veers

hello there Psullie!
nice idea about Alderaanian Navy color Pattern. i like that!!
As you said, no other sculpt among WEG fit , except the ones you said, i had faith of identifying some among GZG, as most lacks of pic either in web or the downloadable catalog.
i've found some ones that would do the job , but extremely expensive ( it cost double a WEG on 2on hand " Black market") :P and that's why i was interested on having a better knowlegde on GZG options.
In any case, Thx for the information and i'll be watching your tread !
Best regards.

hi all
got the navy painted up along with a light support vehicle which I picked up at a charity table at a con (thanks Jim)

They look great

Thanks Commissar
Another unit done, this time New Anglican Royal Marines done in generic green...
-
Looks good. You're developing a nice collection there.

Despite them not being on line at he moment, I do still have all the moulds (and stock in the shop) for the figures that Mike Broadbent and Eureka made as additions to the GZG universe. The first two photos are of some of ours.
Jon doesn't have them any more, as he and I took back our respective ranges in January this year.

I've always loved those old GZG 25's nice work on them.
-
Thanks guys, I have a few more yet to do.
Thanks for the update Nic, I've had some of these minis for 20+ years and picked up others at bring 'n buys etc. so wasn't 100% sure where they all came from.

Another smaller batch - a bit more fun this time will see these as a new cast for 7TV

Good thinking. That looks very much like something a 1970s costume designer might have come up with - leotard, tabard, motorcycle helmet!
-
another unit, again with the pulp theme - BEM's
Fun to paint, this lot will see service on channel 7TV2 as Alien Invaders... ACK ACK ACK!

Who makes those last two batches of miniatures?

Who makes those last two batches of miniatures?
These were Ground Zero Games in association with Eureka, some are still available from GZG. Note these are 25mm

hi all
I've painted up the last squad of my old GZG/Eureka figures. This time New Swabian League, but as these are to fill out my WEG Star Wars collection I've painted them up as Mandalorian mercenaries. I've added heavy weapon and armoured support (Grendel biped raptor).
More photos on the blog: http://www.posullivandesign.com/content/gzg-squads-v
Cheers
PS: could anyone ID the heavy weapon?
-
The ground mount heavy weapon is an old Games Workshop Eldar lascannon I think.

Yep, that :)
Nice work on the NSL troops (my favourites from the old 25mm range) :)

many thanks Von Trinkenssen & Inso - Rogue Trader Artillery from 1987!!!

Very good painting in this thread. I like GZG stuff!
-
+1 on the nice painting.
-
Absolutely corking paint jobs. I especially like the Combat Babes and the NSL Panzergrenadier/Mandalorians.
-
PS: could anyone ID the heavy weapon?
It's actually an old GW eldar "Distortion-cannon" - before the redesign that gave them more "organic" curvy weapons. It had a different platform mounting than any of the other heavy weapons at the time.

Hello there!,
recently i've seen some pictures of SW EP. VIII set -i guess like most of you-
an i remembered that somebody showed on the forum some GZG miniatures.
Now i've found again Psullie's tread.
When i saw the fantastic colour pattern that psullie used on his navy troops ( that they really match for any diplomatic security force) i wondered how they'll work using Navy troopers bodys ( with their capes and such..) with a head swapping with the Japan mercenaries, also from GZG
