I picked up my brush again and made some new thighs to my growing collection of samurai stuff for Ronin.
This time I made some bamboo terrain and painted a few more bandits to fight my Hosokawa clan samurai.
Also I in recent Hamburger Tactica got the idea of making cards for the game to help the bookkeeping and such.
The idea for making measuring sticks and getting Japanese dice from Ebay are also from last Tactica.
There´s still more to come. Cherry blossom trees are in the mail and I just ordered some lovely ronin and peasants from Black hat.

The Tactica is a good place to see new ideas. Warith fantastic Japanese Board two years ago is one good example...

I like all of those ideas, and your samurai look great.

We really need to find time to actually play... Wonderful stuff as always.
-
I managed to do some painting during my holiday.
-
And a few more pictures.

These look.great.

Very nice ;)
Good to see the last airbender in there :)
-
Good stuff!
I need to get back to mine soon

I made some new terrain this weekend. I got inspired after reading the Daisho rulebook.
Below is a picture of all my Ronin/Daisho terrain I've made.
More to come.

Nice stuff. I want those dice.
-
Man...I am impressed!!! :) Mine isn't that far along yet, but this has inspired me! Forgot to ask...where do the dice come from - great stuff.
-
Thanks for Your compliments.
The dice are from Ebay. Just search for Japanese dice.
-
Just finished these. I think I have enough jungle type bushes and such for now.
I have to get me some more buildings and paint the rest of my Perry civilians.
Even got the seppoku-committing samurai, because there's a scenario for it in Daishô.
Kiitos ja moi!

Is the rice paddy scratch built? It looks quite nice
-
Pretty cool, how do you keep the plants on there bases? Mine keep breaking off there stands.
-
The rice paddies are scratch build. I need to make more of them and try to make the water effect better. Now it's just two coats of gloss varnish.
I used hot glue for the plants. Let's see if it holds. There are no sticks or such in the bases to hold the plants. Just a great blob of hot glue.

Missed it earlier but: Awesome Avatar 8)
I like the terrain pieces you have build. Where are the cherry-trees from?
-
Thanks. The Avatar will be used as a VIP or as an objective for slaughter or assasination and such.
I got the cherry blossom trees from Ebay. They were quite cheap. A little less than 20 euro for ten including postage from China.
