A good-natured group of players aimed musket shots, jokes and taunts at one another during the Saturday running of The Ohio Frontier Aflame at Cincycon

I took my French & Indian War skirmish game, Song of Drums and Tomahawks, south to Cincinnati and the annual Cincycon gamefest last weekend. The players had a fun time taking on the role of English settlers, British troops, as well as Indian allies of both the French and British. My Ohio Frontier Aflame event features four scenarios side by side, with players allocating different sizes of troops to each battle, and even reinforcing neighboring ones if they win big. Games usually take two hours or less to play, and the action tends to be fast and bloody.

We sold 13 copies of the rules, many to passers by, who came to admire the eye candy of the Indian village, fort, and scratch-built cliffs. Read the entire report on my blog, and see more photos, here:

I'd like to take credit for it, but it is from Acheson Creations. The wall pieces with stairs leading up to the parapet are a modification. Here is my post with lots more pics:

And here is where you can buy it from Acheson...VERY affordable!

If the link doesn't work, go to the Acheson site and look under "American Frontier" -- 25mm
