Rambures: "That island of England breeds very valiant creatures: their mastiffs are of unmatchable courage"
Orléans: "Foolish curs, that run winking into the mouth of a Russian bear and have their heads crushed like rotten apples."
(Henry V)
Ah, but what if the mastiffs were bigger than the bear?

Where did you get those dogs!? WANT!
-
Sinewgrab, all for the dogs are from Reaper.
-
Does anyone noticed the lice in the flowers? o_o
Okay, okay, okay, just trying ...
Brilliant entry, Chambers! That mastiff in the middle looks at me ... gee. And that worn-out atmosphere of these humans is just awesome.
Love it

The lotus flowers are a nice touch, but they normally grow in ponds...

thanks, I actually didn't intent any real flowers. When I saw the petals in the store in four colours, I just grabbed and bought them for no special reasons. When I painted the samurai, I just thought it might fit.

I think you are right Drachenklige, that monster is staring us down. lol
Very colorful samurai, as it should be. Great Job!

Thanks a lot for the comment. T'was tricky for me to change my usual colour-palette. Need to keep me reminded all the time, not to switch back to my dwarf-schemes. ;D
Btw
It's noticed that You made an awesome impressive atmosphere though You didn't use any background.
Cool to have crossed blades ... well ... pix with You! :-*
best wishes

I am trying an experiment this year. I am not using any scenery to see how far it gets me. The last competition I did was 50/50 with scenery and did well. I will let you know the results after round 10. :D
-
thanks for telling cause maybe I will not recognize that from the other side of the hill. ^^
Say, is there a special reason for having the animals on round bases but men and women on square ones? Did not notice that before.

I normally put fantasy miniatures on squares and non fantasy on rounds. I plan on using the dogs in some pulp games, besides the large dogs on a square base would be massive.
