Title: (Kickstarter) Crossover Minis Grey Aliens, dropship, human defence squads and more!
Post by: fergal on 13 May 2015, 04:00:39 AM
Hi folks, I'm pretty much an observer on this board as I usually make super hero minis, but we've branched out and made a few scifi minis that might be pretty familiar to quite a few folks.  We've also spent some time working on creating some rules to go with them.

Have a gander around the KickStarter page to find out more!

Pretty nice but I didn't find a mention of shipping costs. Surely it can't be p&p included anywhere in the world?

Not a fan of the sculpts myself.
I do like that they are bringing out their take on XCOM

Cool! Pledged for two squads of humies. Will be excellent for my Cyberpunk games and they are really good value.

@tnjrp: for me (the Netherlands) it was $5...so peanuts!!

Hi guys, just work up and had a chance to check out this thread.

@tnjrp - if you pretend like you are going to pledge it will give you the exact S&H.  The amount charged is the actual amount to ship it.  That being said:
terror - $9
soldier, navigator - $13
engineer, commander - $19
Keep in mind that you are getting over a pound of lead at engineer and almost two pounds at commander level.  It was compounded by the fact that with the MDF ships at that level they don't fit in flat rate boxes.

@beefcake - Glad you like the vibe at least.   ;)

@malebolgia - Thanks mate!

Sorry, that may have been a bit harsh. I like the bodies of the greys and the very top miniatures. It was really just the grey heads that I felt lacked definition. In hindsight that may have been a gross overgeneralisation. Then I took a look at your kickstarter and saw the humans and they look great, especially the alt heads!

No worries Beef, if you're going to produce minis, you gotta have thick skin :)  This is an industry of highly personal preferences.

I'm on board at a low level, aiming for terrors.

I'm in too.  I really like the dropship.  I think it will be useful with your para-military minions too.

The terrors have landed. Very crisp and clean models, big enough to appear menacing and very characterful.
My only problem is that I have come up with 3 different colour schemes and can't decide which to use  :D 8)

Terrors? Humies? Who got pichers?

I've love to see more of these figs.

Not painted yet, I'm afraid, they only landed today.
One painted one on the Kickstarter page:

Sorry dentatus, I'm away on vacation and don't have any pics of them with me. I left before being able to wash and shoot any of the new models.  It will be at least three weeks before I have any shots of them in 'in-the-lead' so to speak, but the KS page linked above has good shots of the greens and some good shots of the scale of them.

Mine came in the other day. I got the humans. I must say that they look better in person. The grey aliens do also. The pictures don't do them justice.  I will buy some more once they hit the store.

Any idea when they'll be available to buy? I would love to get the dropship and the rules  o_o

Sorry about that Predatorpt, I had intended to have them up early this month, then I got sidetracked and planned last week.  Now I think the beginning of next week.

I'll be sure to post here when I do!  I got a new laser cutter and have been sidetracked with that for a a good number of weeks!

I have one all built.  Plan on using it for either SHIELD or Hydra.  Waiting on some decals from Company B before I decide how to paint it up.  Going to tackle the UFO next.

I was promptly hit by appendicitis after my last promise on Oct 1st and have been in the hospital for four days and recovering since.  The plus side is the rules are ready to go, I just need to take some pics on Friday of the troops.  The taking photos is a little more active so it's the one thing I've been waiting on. I'll enter all the info on the store tomorrow, then pop the pics up and send it live as soon as I can.
