A paint/repaint of a 40mm plastic "bottlecap" Saint Seiya figure. I know it's Anime, but blame the French television who showed all these cartoons when I was growing up. ;)
Anyway, the figures are basically silver or gold, with a wash, but I wanted to see whether they could be painted.

A comparison with a larger (100mm) gashapon figure of the same character:

For once, I had great fun doing the eyes. lol
Now to wait for my Fenris Games scenic bases to put him on.

Awesome! I've only seen some 12 eps of Saint Seiya, but I LOVED it! It's so hilariously over-the-top and yet charmingly quaint (in that anime-of-a-bygone-era kind of way) at the same time. This was at a grass-roots anime convention in Stockholm and I don't think I've ever seen the audience in a movie theatre dig anything quite so much as Saint Seiya.
I'll be waiting to see the rest of them.

That's a him? :o
Nice job on the reapint, looks great.

Yeah, it's a him. That's Anime for you...
It would have been slightly better if they'd used the armour from the first series and not the later version, but still.
Wait till you see Andromeda. ;)

I thought he was a she too till your post made me read rather than skim.
Looks good though, its nice to have something different like this.
you are doing a good job finding these figures and making them into minis.

I would have prefered 30mm of course, but 40mm is close enough. ;)
