Greetings
stunning work on the French Paras, Curt. I find your use of two different base systems interesting too.
Verd ... where does that beasty on the upper right come from. Now that's a mean skeleton.
Good job, both of you
Thank you
Jo

Yes, I really like the troll skeleton as well (the blue glowing eyes are great).
@artshiraz: Thanks for the comment. I base my skirmish miniatures like this in order to easily identify their various roles on the tabletop (we have a few players whose eyesight is a bit weak). Figures on round bases are basic infantry, the chaps on the hexes are officers, squares are NCOs, octagons are individual Specialists (marksmen, spotters, medics, etc.) and pill shaped bases are for special weapon teams (LMG/SAW, anti-tank teams, light mortars, etc.). It works pretty well and use it on smaller scales as well such as 15mm WWII.

I do not like this black background. Is not very beautiful, but this round I love the painting so much. Hope you change your backgrounds, curt...

Thanks for your comment NugleHH. I'm happy that you liked the Paras, but I'm afraid the black backgrounds are just how I roll and I don't see myself changing tack anytime soon. In fact, I don't see how backgrounds should affect the LPL in any way - frankly, I think they are frequently a distraction. To me its all about the figures, not the backgrounds (or lack of them). Sometimes I feel that some entries get the nod not necessarily because of the figures, but rather due to the elaborate settings they are placed within. Horses for courses - it's not my event and I am always delighted to participate. But I can assure you that with my submissions you see only the figures.
Thanks again,
Curt

If I am not mistaken the big skeleton is an old Mageknight Bone Golem. I have a few still rattling around in the bit box.

Wow! Curt, what a fantastic paras. Great bases, amazing camo... I love them! :o
I'm happy that you notice that glowing eyes. I'm afraid they seem more a bad blue tatoo on the face than a glowing eyes. I have to work a lot on the OSL. ::)
As Pijlie has said the big skeleton is a Mageknight miniature.
Cheers,

Was on holiday for this round so didn't get to become frustrated trying to decide who to vote for. But these Paras would definitely have had my vote, hope to see some close ups of the individual figures.
