I have recently completed a German Sdkfz.10/3 with the 20mm AA gun mount. Also, I finished the Soviet AT guns with the proper type of gun this time... Take a look on my blog:

Thanks for looking!

Nice! :) I always thought this was a cool vehicle. :)
-
Thanks! Yep, it has a retro-futuristic look to it, doesn't it?
-
It does. :) I remember playing 'Panzer General' on my 3DO console, and these AA Guns were the awesomest-looking thing you got in early war.
-
I have never heard of a £DO or Panzer General, so I looked them up and found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fR5qB_tMJgk
It looks like a great game, a bit like Steel Panthers, which I thought was amazing!
-
Steel Panthers was amazing. :) Panzer General was more Operational/ Strategic, but had a lot of eye-candy for the era. :)
I always remember, my 1st time in the Low Countries scenario, I had 2 over-strength Pz IIIE units pushing towards Dinant, and I saw French and British armor units closing. No probs, right? XD
No. Probs. The Matildas and Char Bs tore me up! Luckily, I had a Stuka unit close enough to counter-attack, and they got hurt but prevented a wipe-out for my Panzers. It cost me two turns to reinforce and continue the offensive. :)
-
It obviously hurt if you can still remember it!
-
Never made *that* mistake again. XD The PG game taught me "combined arms", "support", and that Panzer Mk IIIs aren't everything. :)
Still my favorite German tanks, though. :)

I feel a bit guilty to have nitpicked that gun... but the PSC ZiS is really nice :)
PS: for people interested there are several open edition of panzer general available that runs on windows... give me some minutes and I will found the good one...

Here we go...
http://panzergeneraldownload.com/panzer-general-forever.html
it is a free port, with also allied general included, I was playing on my Windows 7 PC without problems. It had even the original soundtrack I will test on 8.1 right now...
fond memories!
-
Arrigo, thank you! :)
-
Ha ha, I would rather have someone nit-pick the gun so I get it right! Don't feel bad! Thanks for the link, I will check it out!
-
Ah - I loved Panzer General too (but only was introduced to it 5 years ago). The AA is nice - really is a nice collection.
-
Ah Panzer General, that brings back some memories.
I shall resist the modern free versions as I waste too much time as it is ;)
Cheers
