Title: Bateson's Steam Powered Iguanadon
Post by: Governor General on 26 May 2015, 04:49:13 PM
It strides the world like a colossus! A converted grey plastic toy found in a twenty five cent bin at a thrift store. I added the boiler room, smoke stacks, upper deck, portholes and the driver's hatch. The boiler room was made out of clear plastic, the rivets are finger nail jewelry, the smoke stack is a pen barrel, the portholes are washers and the hatch is a bit of plastic.

It could be a civilian vehicle perfect for expeditions or as a military command center. I envisioned this as a steam powered pachyderm but as I was painting it green I thought it looked more dinosaur. I loved Andrew Taylor's iguanodon so there it was. The figures are 25/28s from RAFM, West Wind and Dixon.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen! Converting AT-AT's to steampunk has been a hoot. I've got a couple more, that used to be bobble heads, I'm going to turn into military vehicles.

Nice!

I wondered if that had started life as an AT-AT.
