Title: Arab and French Foriegn Legion Casualty Figures
Post by: Hu Rhu on 27 May 2015, 11:22:10 AM
I am looking for some casualty figures for my Foreign Legion project.  I have seen the Foundry Arabs (but at £12 for 5 are a little expensive) and the Gringo 40s Camerone casualties which will need a little work but otherwise seem quite good. Any other suggestions?

In the plans for Exotic Adventures is a character set to go with the mule ambulance...

I plan to have a legionnaire sitting up being treated and a chap on a stretcher along with two (2) stretcher bearers

The medical is done.

I could bring them forward as I have space on the next mould....

Kind Regards
Mark

Yes it does. Thank you.

Darrell, Good call but mostly too early for what I had in mind.

Mark, Great idea but not for casualty markers which are simply a dead or wounded figure mounted on a base with dice to show extent of damage.

However I will definitely be looking to add those to the collection at some stage, probably for a specific scenario I have in mind.

Gary, I was going to suggest the Redoubt Miniatures FFL range? I just went to their site and it seems to be missing, has it been discontinued?

What abut some early war Frenchies from any of the WW1 ranges?

Or, Saracens from any Crusader range? Perhaps convert a box of Gripping Beast plastic Arab infantry? I maybe clutching at straws here!

All good ideas - thanks.  I am not sure where the redoubt FFL range has gone. However I have sourced the Legion casualties from Gringo 40s and am busy painting them so I will post shortly on the main thread. Still looking for Arabs.

The Gripping Beast plastics might work but a box will cost more than the Foundry Arabs (and more work too).   :?

I hadn't factored in the cost, maybe bite the bullet and get the Foundry ones.  :?
