Title: (COMMERCIAL) VAT and Northstar Miniatures.
Post by: General M@yhem on May 28, 2015, 04:41:58 PM
Does anyone know if Northstar deducts VAT for orders outside the EU? I've e-mailed a couple of times and had no response so just wondered if anyone had tried before?
Cheers. :)

They have a VAT number, does that mean that they just choose not to deduct VAT from the price?

Not sure. Would the buyer have to claim it back via their own customs and excise? Hasslefree show prices ex VAT. Always hated VAT as I'm sure everyone else has. Sales taxes etc were something other countries did when I was little  :-[

I will simply comment that Hasslefree shouldn't: it is a legal requirement to show VAT-inclusive prices on a business to consumer site so the customer is aware of the full purchase price.
