Finally got all my Hussite wagons, gun wagons and palisades ready and on the table at the weekend. A good portion of our amalgamated medieval collections were given an airing.

An interesting game, lots of different troop types and a real challenge for the Imperialist player.

Great piccie- Hussite Games can be a challenge due to the static nature of the army..... the flip side is that they always look beautiful!! :-* :-* :-*
I haven't had the time to read your blog but, if you don't mind me asking; what rules were you using?

Some incredible painting all around. The wagons look like they are of the old glory make, am I right?
I wanted to do something similar using perry 28's, but never got around to it. I found out I really hate painting wood...

Just a biutifull hussite army and the camp plus wagons is amazing.
Brilliant stuff... :-*
Cheers,

Beautiful wagons. :)
I was looking at your banners and noticed something.
Why is the Constable of France leading the Hussites? ;D

Lol. We do shamelessly reuse our figures for all sorts of armies...
Most of the wagons are Irregular Miniatures with a few Essex Miniatures too. We use the Piquet rules Band of Brothers, which for all its quirks does allow a lot of subtle ways to give armies like the Hussites and their opponents distinctive character.

Funnily enough Jean II Le Maingre, or rather Marshal Boucilcault was at Nicolpolis.... Charles D'Albret or the Constable of France was definitely not at and of the Hussite conflicts though! lol lol
Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with doing this per say- it's just that I get all anal about Late Medieval warfare :) (And that's my problem and not yours lol )

I have put up some waffle on the blog about my scatchbuilding attempts for the Hussites. Ham-fisted but I enjoyed it!
