Title: Hydra decals?
Post by: Predatorpt on 06 June 2015, 02:29:52 AM
I have these 1/48 V2 that will look great with some Hydra decals...but I'm having some problems finding them. Does anyone knows of a source? I can't be the only one wanting something similar, can I?  o_o

Hey Predatorpt,

I wanted exactly the same thing! So went about google search/illustrator outlines to make my own, and then sent the ai file to "Company B" who does custom transfers. (they may still have my file)

I also had some nose art printed along with numbers. The guys did a good job at printing them, and shipping from USA was pretty competitive.

I've still got the file somewhere, but it's a large a4 ish sheet which cost around $40USD.

Cheers
Matt.

I went for a smaller option ;) I'll have a mix of 1/48 and 1/56 decals and nothing else. Guess they still have the file, they didn't ask for any orientation on the decals.

Website sez:
ATTENTION: Due do military commitments, Company B
will only be able to process decal orders from
May 28th through July 4th. We apologize for
any inconvenience. Thank you for your
understanding and cointinued support.

Anyone know if that might be a typo, and 'will be unable to' more close to the mark?

Pred: Will hold off sending a note til you hear back, but definitely interested, as well.

I've already been talking with Company B (excellent service, btw) and I've ended buying a spare sheet from a previous Hydra project (not the one from Constable Bertrand). Some of decals are  damaged but they'll be a good start.

I'll update everyone as soon as I receive them  ;)
