Title: Looking into early war Russians 28 mm

Ok just glanced though the German vs Russian infantry men book by osprey and am looking with coveting eyes at the Musketeer mins WW1 Russian infantry and even the RJW Russians over on the Empress mins page. And I was wondering if there where planes to make or figs close enough already around that would represent cavalry,  arty and some Madison machine gunners for the early war Russian army.

Copplestones 'Back of Beyond' range has some cavalry and light artillery.

Can the Tsuba miniatures Russians be used for the first world war? They are very nice.

For Madsen gunners, you can buy Madsens as a separate item. That's how I did mine, replacing an existing rifle with the Madsen. The distinctive ammo carriers are a bit more tricky but quite possible in Green Stuff.

While some of the equipment on the Tsuba Russians might have been a little outdated in 1914 I think they're still usable. Especially considering the Russians never throwing anything away  lol

In Russia, was used old uniform of for the period the Russian-Japanese war. But only in rear and training units. At the front it was not used.
But during the Civil war this uniforms came into fighting units of all parties to the conflict.
