Title: steam boat that took 2 minutes. !!!!!
Post by: The_Wisecrack on October 19, 2008, 02:00:28 PM
i had a spare row boat i made for my pirates a long time ago. and i was sitting staring at a piece of meal i had found in my dads toolbox, thats when it hit me, the piece was perfect for the chimney of a small steam boat, so i stuck it into the boat with super glue and glue on some steel wool to the chimney and stretched it out, this is what i got.

Interesting. Looks like an old chuck key for a power drill.

I hope your dad doesn't need it back, they are quite useful things...  lol

Definitely a chuck key for a drill.  Nice how the rod fits perfectly in the boat.

You use them to open and close the jaws at the business end of a power drill to change drillbits. I think you can get replacements from most hardware stores, but it could depend on the type of drill it's for how easy that would be.

Oops! I am sure he won't mind when you explain to him exactly why you are using it...

You should be able to, but beware not all are of the same size!
