Beautiful stuff...I'm too intimidated to even break my stuff out (haven't painted in months...and it's going to be a biggggg project).  Can't wait to see more.  Are you going to play the game or run something else?  I can't say I'm overly enthused with the rules as they're written.

Beautiful stuff...I'm too intimidated to even break my stuff out (haven't painted in months...and it's going to be a biggggg project).  Can't wait to see more.  Are you going to play the game or run something else?  I can't say I'm overly enthused with the rules as they're written.

I've painted up several Veritechs myself (assembled before they published the vastly improved assembly instructions that you can get off drivethrurpg now) --- pictures below - forgive the complete and utter crapiness of the picture quality ... I do much better these days.  I have to say, they were a lot of fun to paint.  I'm stuck in on a couple of other projects that are sucking up my time ... so I'm contracting out my Zentraedi and painting the UEDF stuff myself.

So far as the rules are concerned ... for a first revision I'm actually looking forward to playing them.  I've watch several videos of walkthroughs on the rules and have read through the rules myself a couple of times.  I certainly seen far worse 1st edition rules ... I can see the problems as it relates to competitive/tournament play, for a friendly games (which is all I play these days) I'm happy with them --- and there is a good quick reference sheet out there now (for once I don't have to make one myself!).  Now, I'm not anywhere near an RPG guy --- but I did play the Robotech RPG in high school, and the rules and models for me provide a visual realization of what I imagined in my head all those years ago ... so I'm happy to play through them as is for now, and mod them if necessary.  For all the bad press they've gotten for this game, for me they've delivered what I've wanted for many years, and although it will take longer to get wave 2, I've got models and will be playing games soon ... and I've always wanted to play Robotech miniatures from way back when I watched the TV show in the 80's.
