The Danish DR2 is broadcasting 'Deadwood' every night somewhen after 22.00 (as of yesterday  )
Those of you living near Denmark should be able to catch it on a regular antenna, if you have a digital decoder.
Original sound, Danish subtitles.
Just wanted to let you know :)

Fans of Deadwood might like to know (if you don't already!) that Artizan Designs make an "Al Swearengen" figure (without actually calling it that!):

I didn't know that. I already have 'The good, ....' , and a couple of 'guns for hire' packs, and certainly will go for this set next time I order from Artizan (which, I hope, will not be too far in the future; got to have those pulp-related minis!).

I love them for releasing Al. Deadwood is one of my favourite series and Swearengen the most interesting character. Unfortunately i had to buy the DVD's of the first tweo seasons, since in germany they show it just on pay tv. Can't wait for the third season beeing released...
-
Will there be a season 3? Season 2s Final left very few characters alive.
-
HBO had planned 3 seasons, the 3rd should be complete already. I read they will stop after 3 since the production costs are so high.
-
The 3rd is complete: http://www.hbo.com/deadwood/episode/season3/episode25.shtml
But as far as I know it isn't released on dvd yet.

That would be a pitty.

Season 3 is over, and was a massive disappointment. Great buildup, but wait til you see that season finale! :x :o
They are going to do 3 or 4 more shows in a mini-season, cuz' all the fans raised holy hell when HBO announced they were killing it unfinished. Rumour has it the creator of the show has lost interest, thus both the wrap-up, and IMHO, the lack-lustre end of the 3rd season.
I'm still gonna buy 'em all! I do love that show and I'll be  to see ot go.

Deadwood season three is available for pre-order on Amazon, release date is the 5th of February. :)

Kewl! Does anybody know if there's a 28mm-Miniature that looks like the Duke? Several of my LoToW-Characters are named after John-Wayne-Figures, my Cowboy Posse even got the names of the Red River Trailcrew.

Aaaahhhh... I knew he originally had a ....peculiar name for a big fella, I just didn't remember the details
-
It's always funny to hear about actors real names. My favourite has always been Stewart Granger, who couldn't keep his real name, because some other guy found Jimmi Stewart a good Alias :D
-
Stewart Granger.... Winnetou comes to mind. Used to watch those Karl May movies on German TV.... Alas, lost childhood. My mother just died today :(
-
That's sad Argonor, you have my deepest sympathy.
-
I'm sorry for your loss, Argonor.
-
Sorry to hear such bad news. Do take care of yourself !

Thank you, guys!
Well, I'm a big boy with my own family, so I think I'll manage to get on. On the plus side, I'll probably paint a lot to cure my sadness.
Sunday I'll be at a gaming session at a friend's (LotR Battle Companies) which will also help me thinking of something else.
I might be a little quiet 'round here a couple of days...
Signing off for a while. Keep gaming!

Thumbs up.

my sympathies to you on your loss, hope you and your family are well
