Title: Bruisers

Since folks seemed to enjoy the BunnyOgre the other day, I thought I'd post the other big-bruisers I've been working on, of which the Bunny was the last in the series.

First was a dragon ogre upper body on regular ogre legs, and all the chaos iconography removed to be a mercenary ogre for my WHFB Empire army, or Mordheim hired sword.

The other was the lovely Otherworld stone giant that I've had in a box for 10 years:

Its been a lot of fun, though I'll admit you get a bit spoiled with all these big projects... highlighting is so easy, details are so easy... then you jump back down to 28mm human, or smaller, and suddenly you feel like ham-fisted thug, slapping paint all over the place. :)

Just happened to pop in here, although I hardly ever play fantasy. Very nice figures, especially like the tarnishing of the Ogre's armour, well nice.

I really like that ogre conversion. I just painted that stone giant too. Was a fun mini to paint

Very nice paintjobs and a pretty cool conversion on the ogre.

I am especially enthused by the wound-marking dice on the Ogre - Thats a pretty cool idea. Is the dice-holder from Pendraken?

The Big Guys look TERRIFIC...OUTSTANDING brushwork & basing. VERY WELL DONE!
I know what you mean about the big pieces. I've mostly been doing terrain stuff,: now when I pick up a mini it seems SO tiny.

Very well done, I like a lot the paintjob on the giant. Very nice work on both pieces!
Think that I am greatly scared about painting big models: I feel most confortable painting regular foot guys. The world is so various  ::)
