That's it. Not exceptional, not bad either.

The one in the dress really is a chick this time, right? lol
Great work as usual, but are you getting earlier every month? Been away this weekend, so I still need to photograph this month's haul properly. Not that there is much of it this time, but it all counts towards something, presumably.

Yes, if you go to the corresponding post, all is explained. ;)

Won't have time to paint anything else, so for me the month is over.
And yes,it all counts towards reducing the lead pile. yes, I know it grows several times faster than the few figs that get painted in the same time. But it would grow even faster if we didn't paint anything, right? So we *are* making progress. No, really. All is well. :-I
-
All is well, Brother. :-I
Finally got round to taking picsof the rrest of this month's bounty.
You've already seen Noticeably F.A.T.
And Captain Walsingham and Hugo
(http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/GrunterPulpit/CaptWalsinghamHugo.jpg)
But I also finished three more adventurers, (right rough looking bastards they are too)
Two Pygmies
(http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/GrunterPulpit/Pygmies-1.jpg)
and Professor Henry Jones Senior (who I'm quite pleased with for a two-hour paintjob)
And that's yer lot this month. Probably be on a go slow again until the weather picks up and the loft isn't so cold anymore. So maybe July next year... ::)
-
I love Captain Walsingham and Hugo. Had somehow missed them the first time around (see, this thread is still useful). :-*
-
3 1/2 white officers
10 czechs
two clumps of seafoam trees on cd bases.
not much within october but between 15th sept and now it's 33.
I have made good progress on my terrain and buildings nearly ready to paint, found putting poly filler on a challenge where there are window frames and door frames., need to paint up.
I got some pegasus russian farmhouses , ibzas and the big two storey house yesterday and made all five in an hour. just need to paint now.
so not bad all in all.

Jollybob
Great pictures. Really like the adventurers. Is that Billy Connolly? Fourth picture down on the left?
I know what you mean about the cold weather! I paint in my garrage and my heater is broken. I also struggle with good enough light for painting in this neck of the woods, by the time I get home from work it is already dark.
-
Good lighting is a problem. I really need to invest in a lamp with poseable arms and some daylight bulbs.

Two Pygmies

Kallistra?
-
@ Matakishi: Nice. :) Where is that hummer from? Is it a repainted toy one? It looks like a very clean cast if it isn't.
@ Argonor: Yes they are. I have hundreds of the little buggers. Great fun. I just wish you could buy them individually instead of in "horde" packs. Makes it difficult to build up units of troop types and you always get some left over. So you buy more to build another unit...
All is well... :-I

I have painted absolutely nothing this month. Haven't even looked at my minis.......
But I have totally refitted my bathroom, tiled it and plumbed in an all new suite. I've also started to pack all of my stuff away and re-decorate the rest of the house.
This 1-1 scale stuff isn't any fun at all!!! lol

Well, when you have painted any of that 1-1 stuff, you can post it here. ;)

This is what I painted in October… not much I’m afraid but, at least, I managed to finish some figures. lol
First some British WWII Paratroopers. The riflemen in the last picture had a blob of lead on it and at first I wanted to remove it but I find it could look like a rolled beret so I painted it in raspberry red... ;)

...A French WSS Officer (It’s a repair I had to do following a little accident…)
...Some German WWII...
And finally a test figure for a Napoleonic French Battalion.
That’s it! Just 18 figures this month but I managed to sort thing out a little in the lead pile. I also spend some time and effort on putting together a dozen of FoW tanks and halftracks including a very reluctant Panther D. >:(
Cheers! 8)

Very meagre from me, real life and lack of motivation being big stumbling blocks. And I only finished basing the jingal about 15 minutes ago.

Excellent Dolmot. Clever idea for a diorama, very well executed. 8)

Lots of nice stuff round here. Can't decide what I like best.
My own production was rather low. Few miniatures compared to last month and I may show only one cause the others are for now top secret (kind of competition entry, you know).
But here's in XL scale a real beauty (at least before painting), an Elfen Maid by Foundry. She's gonna follow last month's Oberon.
I'm still experimenting with methods of painting (female) flesh. Maybe the next one will turn out a bit 'softer'. Darn, I've painted my favorite model first. ::)
-
Stephane those Meso americans are superb :-* :-* :-*
-
Not much at all has been painted by me this month - all of my time has been spent building pirate and their ship.
-
Stephane your tuaregs are gorgeous [alsoyour americans are beautiful]
Mad Doc Morris a very lovely figure here!

What a great thread, I've not seen this before :?
Fantastic stuff, its great to see all the stuff folks have done over the month.

You evil geniuses must have a lot of time... In my case, little baby Sark allows me few time for painting. However, these are the things I produced in October: some conversions for renegade IG to play a 40K Mordheim-mod. Enjoy (if possible)

Thanks ::) . I used Flock Blend: Autumn and Static Grass: Winter/Dead from Gale Force Nine (GF9).
You can find them at http://www.gf9.com/store/index.php?cPath=36&osCsid=11d3bc082a284aa9781e9b9c0941735d
Those are, I think, a “good price for values” products. Less expensive than the equivalent GW stuff. ;)

Thanks for the link Calimero!

The Paul Hicks charity figures. All the money from the sales went to the British Army Benovolent Fund.

Absolutely stunning, OT, great work! :-*

Stunning brushwork Orc Trader, especially on the Napoleonic chap.

Orctrader is another obstacle to the top whom I need to kill, I fear. >:(
Lovely WWI officer.

Redcarrot; Recordrat; or Retrocard are all possible, if he rumbles Traderorc.
Actually, why do all of the anagrams I saw start with R? Probably tells me something about my psyche, or summut.
Peeker.

Hi Orctrader
Would you like to part with the colour recipies for the officers coat & kegs would you? :D
Keith
Difficult one. On this figure I used Vallejo Panzer Aces Colours on just about everything apart from the leather. If you are not familiar with these they come in "Driads." A base and a highlight which you are meant to mix together for the mid tone. The Jacket was certainly 317 British Tanker & 321 Highlights British tanker from Set #3 But as I bought a few of the set numbers I tend to just mix and match as I go. And that was how I did the pants. IIRC it was the "US Tanker" driad, but I used a lot more of the highlight.
Sorry I can't be more precise, but I usually only make notes if I know I am going to be painting several figures the same paint scheme. With single figures, like this one, I mix colours - on a wet palette - as I go.
-
Cheers for that, i will have to look at the panzer aces range.
I tend not to write stuff down either ::)
Thanks again :D
