Title: Small Wars in the 31st Century -- Our Alpha Strike Campaign Blog
Post by: fourcolorfigs on 01 August 2015, 04:56:06 PM
Hey, folks! I just thought I would share our campaign blog for our upcoming Alpha Strike games:

http://btsmallwars.blogspot.com/

We decided that 100+ long email strings were an inefficient means of sharing campaign info, so we made this blog to help out!

Thanks for looking!

Cool blog! Looks like a lot of fun was (and will be) had. I want to see the big 'mechs next time, though!

This may inspire me to paint up some of my primed mechs, and if I can ever manage to get back home, I'll bring them along for a game!

Awesome...and you've inspired me to putz around and find a toy spaceship to convert as a dropship.  Is that a proper SW toy or a remake?  Keep the reports coming.  I'll try to post another one or two in the near future.

Q: Where is your mat from?  Is that from Deep Cut Studio?

Thanks, Elbows!  We love your stuff too!

It's a F.A.T. Mat from Frontline Games. Highly recommended. That is the toy Rebel Shuttle from Star Wars! Got it at a thrift store years ago!

Gotcha, I'll check them out --- is that the shuttle which was a big figure carrier with slots for figures?  I had one like that at the time, but I don't know if it looked quite as nice.

Yes!  Sky heavily re-painted it using his airbrush. The man is gifted!

Awesome.  Mine was second hand from a flea-market on a military base...so it was...rough.   lol   I'm working on some Battletech cards at the moment, hope to get some of my own reports up in the next week or two.

Awesome.  Lovely looking stuff.  I like the paint scheme on the Kurita mechs and I'm always happy to see a Victor on the table!  (just painted mine).  I hope to have a battle report up sometime soon.  Thanks for sharing.  So is this the end of your campaign or is it continual?

Those mats look fantastic, especially the Mars-style one with the little rocks on it, where are they from?

Thanks!  This is not the end. This concluded Chapter 1. So we need to figure out where to go from here. I would also like to run some RPG stuff, but I am not sure I have the chops to run the official Time of War RPG rules. Too much crunch. So I may use FATE, or Monte Cook's new Cypher RPG rules. We shall see.
