Arkham Knight is the first PS game I actually really played. Normally I am extremly lousy in console games, I grow up on PC classics like Wing Commander, Ultima Underworld etc. So normally I have big troubles to use a console controller. But Arkham Knight motivated me enough to PLAY the game. Naturally I wanted some AK minis. Knight Models will eventually bring some nice minis out, I am sure of that. But I wanted them NOW, so time to dig in the bits box.
The minis below are a AR armed Arkham Knight gunman, the Arkham Knight himself, a sword thug and a knife fighting thug. They work IMO pretty well scalewise!

Minis used: Warzone Light Airborne Infantryman, Warzone Infantry with Infinity head, Heroclix and Knight Model Bane thug.

The Knight himself.

The knife fighter is out of the Bane box, I just painted him in AK colours.

The sword fighter is based on a HeryClix mini.

amazing stuff, Agis, very creative choice of miniature and great painted too.
I'm still resisting buying a console though it's so tempting ;D
-
These are fantastic conversions!
-
Awesome. I need to model up some AK minis. Really enjoying the game so far. I'm just confused with why no one but your Joker subconscious made the point of why the Arkham Knight looks a little like Bats and who the bloody 'ell has paid for this army. Tanks aren't cheap. But then again if they let their city get invaded then the ain't that smart.
Any thoughts on you scratch building any of the vehicles. A cloudburst tank would look awesome. Keep up the orgasmic conversions.
-
He, he, thanks.
Well I am in the middle of the game.
Right now the Cloudburst exploded and I hunt the Cloudburst tank.
I have no idea to build this monster.
However - the Serpent Drones can be done with RAFMs Aerial drones.

Normal tracked drones might be doable using GZG tanks.

OK, back to Batman! While progressing slowly in the AK PS4 game I just could not resist painting the excellent Knight Model Batman.
And the Mk8 Suit also gets its Zombicide Card.

Since the new Batmobile is just too good to be left out I searched for a suitable model. I know of two, the Eaglemoss Batmobile in combat mode and the Hot Wheels Elite car. While the Eaglemoss model seems to be more detailed it is just a bit too big, so I went for the Hot Wheel car. The model below got a bit of repaint here and there.

And as usual more pics on my Website: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/dc.html

where did you buy the AK batmobile from ? tbh i like it more than the Eaglemoss. great work on batman himself.

More excellent work Agis. :)

Thanks!

I honestly do not know anymore, IIRC it was via an ebay instant buy.

I absolutely love the Batman games, and have just finished it the other day, only to start it over on the 'Nightmare' level.
You've caught the flavor of the game wonderfully in your painting. The AK is perfect!
I spotted that Hot Wheels car as well, and really wanted to know how well it scaled with the Knight Models. I say spot on.
-
After seeing your post I was very tempted to track down a Hot Wheels batmobile. They're quite expensive however, and I very luckily found an Eaglemoss one locally for $53 CAD with tax included. That's a good $25 or $30 cheaper than I could get either of them from ebay, so I'll happily make the compromise on the scale.
As always your painting and conversions look amazing. I'm envious of your skill!

Epically awesome with Bats new ride. More. Give me more. I demand it. MORE!

I've been slowly trying to track down vehicles for scenery in my games as well, including a Batmobile or vehicle for each of my Batman figures. Some people have mentioned that they're doing a bit of paint work to their vehicles. I'd be really interested in hearing what kind of painting they're doing, and the techniques being used. I think the cars already look great, but if they can be made better with a bit of work...please tell me how! :D
-
Brilliant, Agis, that lovely painted Batman looks very resolute.
Btw, got the same car :D
-
Just ordered mine via Amazon....
It's like a pushed the remote button, and it's driving to me as we speak!
-
Big thanks! Keeps me going, and indeed I have some more Batman (Beyond) related conversions stuff in the Pipeline...

Well I keep it very simple. The models are already finished and it would be a shame to ruin them. ;)
Therefore I just add some dark grey to the top surface and do some edge highlights. That is basically all.
I was tempted to do some weathering - especially since the Batmobile gets very dirty in Arkham Knight, but in the end I went the subtle road...
-
Lovely work on Batman.

Ultra cool as always Agis,

Batman Beyond - Batman What? - I can here some of the more unenlighted Batman fans ask.... In fact like me 2 weeks ago. Batman Beyond (aka Batman of the Future) is an American animated television series created by Warner Bros. Animation in collaboration with DC Comics as a continuation of the Batman legacy.
It is about a teenaged Batman in a futuristic Gotham City under the tutelage of an elderly Bruce Wayne, the series began airing in 1999, and ended its run in 2001.
I was getting aware of it after receiving the really good looking Beyond skin in Arkham Knight.
See:
So I searched a bit and got the series. To my amazement I liked it - a lot!
Consequently I need a cool mini for it. My Arkham Knight conversion made me look into Infinity minis. A quick into my lead pile showed me the Nomad new Mobile Brigada. Not a perfect fit, but close, so I filed the bunny ears into pointy Batears and painted him black and red. I am happy with the look.
The big gun is not really fitting to Batman, in my eyes it is just the all new Mk 8 Multi Gadget with integrated Remote Hacking Device, Disruptor, Voice Synthesizer, Freeze Blast and Remote Electrical Charge!
So the Bat needed a new car, or? In the animated series Batman is using an ultrasleek hover car, but I wanted a more down to earth rugged car. The Clearhorizonminiatures Nemesis light strike vehicle was just right. It even had similar weapon and tool loadout as the new Batmobile in Arkham Knight! The gun, the rockets and even a winch!
The model is nicely designed but the actual casting is a bit flawed, you can still see some mold lines on the above model (and that is after a lot of smoothing and milliputting...). But if you like the look and are a reasonable modeller go for it!

Agreed- I finished the main storyline yesterday - the 1st EVER console game I played till the end!
Have to say that it was by far one of the BEST games I ever played, so many twist and great story moments, so many different game elements. I love it!
Now some more sidequest to engage the Knightfall protocol!
-
If you want the 'full' Knight Protocol, make sure you solve all the Riddlers riddles, find all his question marks, and take him on in battle.
That takes a while!
Was your Hot Wheel Elite the 1/43 scale? That's what I just got, but it seems slightly small. I've spotted a 1/18th one in the same line, and that may do it for me! Although quite spendy
LOVE LOVE LOVE that Batman Beyond, and his car. That's some serious good work.
-
Oh yak, the Riddler quest is the only one I dislike...
:(
And yes the above shown car is 1/43, big enough for me...;)
-
Nicely done Agis! 8)
