So here are my figures for the fellowship.
Wizard, Ranger, Knight, 4 Thugs, Barbarian, Tracker
Total Points: 460, which means I have room for another thug, thief or warhound. I would lose out on having a apprentice spells and lose out on the apprentice activation sequence, but have solid troops.
I am not sure what Gandalf would be. I am assuming he could be a Chronomancer, Illusionist or Sigilist
I might replace the tracker with another figure

The Wizard and 3 of the thugs are from Copplestone. The rest of the figures are Reapers.
I like the looks of the figures with the hobbits because it makes them appear rather small or child like, which is how they were intended to look based on Tolkien.

It's that Copplestone Gandalf again. :) Really nice idea, although I think you're a few points short of 500. Looking forward to seeing them painted.
Although, after the weather on Caradhras I'm hoping the Fellowship are better prepared for snow these days. :D

Pretty cool.
You could add a Gollum figure for the apprentice... A Gollum with a fur cape added.
-
You could add an apprentice either as Radagast (though he's really a wizard so could be the start of another warband) or one named Faramir as in his father's words he's just 'a wizard's pupil'. You could then downgrade your specialists to archers and infantrymen to stay within initial gold crown allowance
-
Gandalf is definatelly Thaumaturg.

Really cool assembly there! 8)
I so love the Copplestone hobbits, but they're rather hard to come by these days; I envy you for having 3 of them.
To me, they all work well, but for Aragorn. Your choice of mini does not match my own personal image of the man. But then; this is your vision, obviously.
Your second choice for Legolas is, IMHO, the better of the two options, but then; I like 'em dark that way ;)
Radagast would be a good idea for an apprentice, but what about good old Tom Bombadil for instance? Or Haldir? I kind of like the last option, as he actually very briefly joined the party (even though technically, it was before the nine were assembled of course ;) ).
I like the idea of a Gollum in there too, but perhaps as a warhound instead? But in a pinch, I suppose you could even use Bill the pony as a warhound too... :D

Are the Hobbit the old Grenadier Halfling?
Forlorn hope have them, not sure about shipping to the Netherlands though..http://www.forlornhopegames.com/index.php/category/233-halfling-individuals

As discussed on a previous thread ... Sam the pony as a warhaound ... no attack but a free item slot for the warband.
Love the Copplestone fantasy minis ... he did one or two others that might stand in as other fellowship characters to keep the whole Copplestone thing going on.
Surely the Hobbits should be theives not thugs?
-
Great set of figures. I agree that Gandalf should be a Thaumaturge, and the hobbits should definitely be thieves, not thugs!!
I think I would make Gimli a Templar or knight instead of a Barbarian.
-
Great input guys.
Thugs will be changed to thieves.
A Sam the pony would be cool. Copplestone made a great one to go with the halflings if I can track that down.
Daeothar what is your suggestion for Aragorn?
The halflings are both Copplestone and Grenadier, but sculpted by Copplestone. The Grenadier ones are a wee bit smaller, but not really noticeable.
Ivan - After reading the rules I think you are correct. Gandalf should be Thaumaturge and thus will be.

Just a few that might work well:
Darksword (http://www.miniaturenland.com/en/darksword/visions/1185.html)
Otherworld (http://otherworldminiatures.co.uk/shop/da-series-dungeon-adventurers-blister-packs/dah6-human-male-ranger/)
Reaper (https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/ranger/latest/03581)
more Reaper (https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/ranger/latest/60089)
even more Reaper (https://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/03286)
yet more Reaper (https://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/02086)
will you quit it with the Reaper already? (https://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/02648)
And there are many, many more out there... :)
