We are a long time in releasing these but got there in the end. These guys represent members of HMS Boudicea in their traditional sailor caps.

Lovely! :-*
-
Superb Hicksiness! 8)
-
Will have to get some. They remind me of the bloke on a packet of players cigarettes ( what my Dad used to smoke, many moons ago ).
-
Excellent!
Paul, would these uniforms be appropriate for the Pearl and Shannon brigades in Central India during the Mutiny?
I'm sure Mike will have the answer, but I suspect I'll be using them for exactly that anyway :-)
-
Are they separate head? and does this mean we might eventually see that long ago promised pack of commissary officers? :)
All in all lovely stuff, the second officer drawing his sowrd is superb!
-
Ooh, shiny! :-*
-
Cracking sculpts 8)
Will these be suitable up to the late 1860's?
cheers

No uniforms and weapons wrong. Check out our Royal Navy packs in the Maori range as they would be.

The rifle is wrong for that period. Again I suggest you check out our Maori War RN packs.

Doh! That'll teach me to read what you wrote more carefully before posting! Somehow I read 'AZW' as ' NZW' and didn't look closely enough at the photos.
Which, if anything, makes them even more usable, as I've got a few Zulus to take them on.
The following link is useful for reference material on the naval brigades in the AZW:

These are beauties. It must have taken a bit of getting used to, having to fire a weapon that has a dirty great cutlass attached to the end of it. :?
-
Love the figures.
Empress and Iron Duke will be getting lots of my money soon.
Maybe I can sell my first born son, only slightly used. lol
-
Superb :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
Darrell.

Excellent to finally see these chaps! great job all round. And ive ordered all ready! :-*
-
They should also work for HMS Active, since her Naval Brigade was very active in South Africa 1877-1879 in that uniform. Both naval officers are suitable for Commander Campbell and Lieutenant Craigie, from HMS Active. Any chance of mounted figures?
How well do they scale with Copplestone? My sailors are mostly Copplestone, but I lack the NCOs.
-
Apparently a few different ships were active so more so than just hose two even!
I've got the command pack ordered...fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow!

Rather depends on the headgear worn. Other uniform differences can be solved by paint.
HMS Active: Blue jumpers, white trousers, white caps
HMS Tenedos: Blue jumpers, blue trousers, blue cap cover
HMS Boadicea: White jumper, white trousers, blue cap cover
HMS Shah: Blue jumpers, blue trousers, sennet hat
So these figures would work for Active, Tenedos and Boadicea,'s naval brigades, but not Shah's.
It would be really interesting to see if Empress will produce mounted versions of the two officers, along with mounted and dismounted versions of a surgeon and commissary. An RMLI officer with a spiked foreign service helmet would work as well. That would give the HMS Active's senior command staff, and a mounted command pack for other Naval Brigades.
-
Well empress has said they are doing a pack of commissary officers eventually, I find the British armies lax standards towards officers uniform really helps in this regard.
I'll do a wee write up once they arrive(only just posted out today :/ )

Very nice, will they be available at Colours?
