Folks,
Came across this company while looking for 1859 French and Austrians.
http://ciboslittledudes.com/ (http://ciboslittledudes.com/)
I have asked for a sample (I think!), but I looks like they are off til Sept 1st on hols.
Nice chunky figures and a broad range which plugs the gaps between the GWM and Northestar1866 ranges. Does anyone have any more info on them?

Emir, I just received my samples a couple of days ago. Two Piedmontese infantryman - one regular, one grenadier - and a horse (with no rider). All very nice, clean and crispy and nicely sculpted. Just a little bit on the chunky side but definitely a lot better than in the pictures posted on the site, which make them look as large 15mm rather than 28mm. If the rest of the range matches the standards of these two, they are quite nice and up to today's sculpting style in terms of details and cleanliness -ok, we are not talking about the Perrys here, but the twins have always ignored Italy in the nineteenth century and preferred Spain :-(
If you are interested in gaming the Risorgimento have a look at Mirliton as well. While their figures range from good to old-fashioned, some of them are not bad at all and the range is also quite large:

Thanks for the reply Malto,
Its good to see these figs on the market and I'll certainly be placing an order. Hopefully they'll sit nice to my figs from Gringo too. I'll have a look at Mirliton, I had some of their figures a long time ago though not for this period.

The painted figures look nice ,would they fit in w/ Battlehonours?.

These look nice but I'm having problems with my tablet navigating their site :(
-
Working ok for me (safari/iPad).
Appears to be a mobile site - requires lots of clicking though.

Just cant get rid off that annoying pop up.

Pop-ups gone.
Just thinking about an order...any chance of a pic of the samples Malto?

Can try tomorrow but I am not sure I am a good enough photographer to do them justice!

Thanks Malto!
A pic next to another manufacture would be good for scale.
Much appreciated.

Just back from holidays to a pile of lead. ;D
3 samples from Cibo (a grenadier in bearskin, Austrian artilleryman and a Papal Zouave, I think), and some French from Footsore. I'll get some pics done and do a comparison shot with the Cibo, Footsore, Gringo and the 1864 Dane I should be getting from Northstar.
First opinion is that they are decent figs - chunky, less detailed than a Gringo, Gt War or Footsore, but the braid on the Zouave and plate on the bearskin are easily picked out. To my mind they look similar in style to Scarab mini's ww1 figs. That may split opinion on liking or disliking but with precious few other manufacturers of these troops out there and even those with incomplete ranges, beggars can't be too choosy!

Some pics of the Cibo figs and then for comparison next to Gringo40's Neapolitan and Footsore French.
Cibo are the chunkier and least detailed, Footsore the smallest. There is only a couple of mm or so between them.

Thanks Emir for the picts...me too i received a nice from Cibo..and some Austrian samples....in my opinion they are very nice..my favoured should be the Pontifical and Neapolitans..as i saw they make some uncommon types like swiss mercenaires and Papal chevaulegers..essentail t refight Castelfidardo..also a good selection of mounted officers ..not easy to find
unfortunatly i'm not able to understand how to post pict on the forum..i should learn..but is seem to me very complicated..
So Emir, thanks for sharing the picts..definitvly Cibo's Risorgimento are esalily compatible..but may i ask you please if, as you have probably handled all those manufactures if you think that i can put in the lot also those nice looking Gringo..minis from Risorgimento?..in fact i already have armies from Foundry, Mirliton, Battle Honours ecc...so not on the big side..but those Gringo's are so inviting :-)

Italwars,
The middle figure in the second picture is a Neapolitan officer from Gringo40's range. I think they would fit in perfectly with the Cibo figures. The Gringo figures are very nice and the range gets better and better.
Here's another pic - Cibo, Gringo, Footsore. Adding images is easy. Just look under the additional options tab and use add file. My pics were taken on my iPad so easy to upload from my photos. It would be great to see some Mirliton and Foundry stuff next to your Cibo figs.
