Let the projects begin!
Because I want to keep my money safe for a Nintendo Wii I don't want to be spending a lot on figures at the moment so my first project for 2007 is going to be the Home Guard company for Crossfire using the Foundry Dad's Army figures.
A bit of painting and a bit of building (I plan to make the Bank and Jone's butcher shop etc) should get the New Year off to a good start.
Here are the brave chaps awaiting their paint:

Wow, that looks like a fun project!
There were some scenarios in Wargames Illustrated a few years back based around Warmington Upon Sea ( when the minis were first released).
I'll be interested to see your progress.

"Stupid Boy!" :)
I remember one of the WI scenarios involved Dady Army and a Darlek invasion. Now that would be a fun game! :)

Great stuff!
I've always particularly liked the 'Communications set' with the man kneeling down by (or inside?) the phone box. When I worked for Foundry in 1999 I remember one of the Perry twins telling me about it - he'd just sculpted it. I think he mentioned a paper boy running with a message as well, but apparently that didn't get made.
I've got these figures myself, and have yet to paint them.
I doubt that you'd need a lot of actual, trained German soldiers to give the Walmington on Sea lads a very hard time -- possibly a small patrol --- H

There are some pictures of it here:
Daleks vs. Dad's Army! (http://forum.backofbeyond.de/viewtopic.php?t=234)
They used the .45 Adventure rules.
I have about 20 Daleks in my cellar - half are even painted (though I'd like to re-paint them as "modern" Daleks some day...)
