Title: Hello from Pittsburgh, PA
Post by: metalface13 on 15 August 2015, 02:11:09 PM
Hi, all!

I've been lurking around the forums off and on for a while, especially after getting interested in the Oldhammer movement. My background in games is all over the place. Played Magic and a bunch of other CCGs in the 1990s, played 40k 2nd Edition and then Necromunda, Gorkamorka and Blood Bowl. Then I faded from gaming for a while until I got into board games in the mid 2000s. Eurogames, Ameritrash, card games, etc.

Then I moved to Austin and met some like-minded friends. We played board games together and then started up a small Blood Bowl league and made plans for a Mordheim campaign. I got the Blood Bowl bug hard. I moved to Pittsburgh this summer and haven't really done any gaming yet.

As far as miniatures games goes, I'm mostly interested in GW's Specialist Games. Definitely Blood Bowl but also Necromunda, Mordheim and Gorkamorka. I'm also curious about the games I never got to play Man O' War, Epic, Warmaster, Battlefleet Gothic. I've also been following a lot of Oldhammer blogs and have been reading old manuals for editions that came before my time: Rogue Trader, Fantasy 3rd Edition, Realms of Chaos. And I've really grown fond of that era's minis.

Welcome to LAF metalface.

In the old times GW used to produce quite good games.

If you like MORDHEIM you may want to check the BEST forum for the game:
