A group of friends and I have caught the Frostgrave Fever and I've started by painting up a Large Construct for my warband.

Can't wait to get started on more minis!
-
That is simply stunning! Love the lack of any discernible head because, well, why would it need one?!
As somewhat of a noob who's essentially starting from scratch with Frostgrave/wargaming I've bookmarked your blog and will be plumbing its depths for ideas ;)
-
Stompey looks awesome.
Xin
-
Oooh, I love this idea! :-*
However, I am not sure I could repeat it, to torture my lead like that. But ... it is very cool and perceptive. Very lovely and immensivly fluffy.
-
That is nice work. Very inventive.
-
Thanks for the kind words :)
@Spoony: Yes I had the same thought. The book sort of acts as a head, which is why I positioned the skull clasp the way I did. But I really enjoy the lack of a true head.
@Drach: Sometimes we hurt the ones we love lol

I've added a templar to my painted models for Frostgrave. I swear I'll get to my wizard soon...

Thanks!

Nice mini and really well painted.I like the way you've given him a real character by building on the narrative with a backstory.thanks for sharing
-
I'm a roleplayer at heart, so I plan on giving each mini a name and a little backstory of some sort, probably based on their actions in game.
-
Nice and effective conversion ! I love your choise for the templar, hasslefree mini are so gorgeous.

I agree with the sentiment, but you better have a lot of names and backstories in your head, unless you field a Thaumaturge with maxed Revive.

Well in my case, I like to imagine the replacement cost as being the cost for medical care or cheap and dirty resurrection for my lads. Obviously their belongings would go missing during their time on the cart.
Of course I'm not above having a lot of names and back stories in my head. I've made a lot of D&D characters in the past 20 years.

Another blog post, this time with some short fiction! I am really finding Frostgrave inspiring! The story centers around my warband and their mindset before going into the frozen city.

Please give it a read and let me know what you think.

Interesting read and a good intro to your characterful warband. Thanks for sharing

I'm on kind of a token kick at the moment and I made some up for spell effects and crossbow reloads:

That's a really good idea. I think I'll do something similar on some small 15mm bases. :)
