Hello,
in the attachments you can see the first six models of my frostgrave warband (hopefully, if it works!).
My wizard, Mocata the Mighty, has been an illusionist until now, but i am looking forward to the Lich Lord expansion, where my fellows might be playable as the evil cultists that they really are (!?).
The fat guy is a treasure hunter, the ghost from the bottle is used as my "Illusionary Soldier".
I heard from a lot of people having problems with their bases, as they wanted to paint copplestones as in the rulebook, but their miniatures had sockles unter their feet. In the first two pictures you can see how i managed to integrate this in my basedesign.
Last but not least, my English is not the best, please forgive me. ;)
I hope you like my stuff!

Creepy looking bunch...

Amazing paint work. The bases look fantastic. That's a great idea making the stone rubble for the integrated base.
-
These are really nice, full of character. Great work.
-
Love those cultist masks, very Plague Doctor. Great brushwork all around. :-*
-
Very creepy but in a really cool way! :-*
-
Terrific first post - lovely models, and a great idea for disguising the integrated base plinth some models have. :D
-
Welcome to the LAF - terrific paint jobs!

Those are something. Damn. Well done.
-
Super looking figures.
Could you please give us a run down of the companies who made them?
Also welcome to the Forum.
-
Wow,
thank you all very much for this warm welcome! I'm looking forward to hopefully a lot of good conversations here at Lead Adventure and especially the Frostgrave forum.
Dear Marine0846, of course!
Wizard - Westwind Hungarian Vampire Slayer with a plastic hand & book from Games Workshop. The "Illusionary soldier" is also from Games Workshop.
Fat Treasure Hunter - Westwind Gothic Horror Gypsy with a Sword from Rackham.
The Cultists were made by Otherworld.
The next models on my list are more Otherworld Cultists (including the apprentice), a satyr ("Tracker"), a dog, Celtos- Barbarians and, by far my favourite, my second wizard by Grenadier :-* .
Again, thank you!

I like this bunch, usage of Westwind figures is such an creative idea. Also the hyborian Age map works a treat there. Well done!
-
Great painting on a great choice of figures.

Simply gorgeous, and all-round inspiring! Fantastic work.

Your Cultist Crew are WONDERFULLY imaginative & BEAUTIFULLY painted/based. VERY WELL DONE!
-
yeah, what he said. thanks for the basing inspiration.

Hello! :)
Again, thank you all for the kind words!
Unfortunately, "real life" forced my to "rush" the next miniatures a lot more than the first five. I am not really happy with them, but want to show them anyhow: 2 Barbarians, a dog and the apprentice.
The manufacturers/miniature ranges are, in order of appearance: Reaper (+ GW Beastman Axe), Helldorado, Celtos, Otherworld.
The axe of the first barbarian does not look THAT awful in reality, but pretty o.k. instead!

Really nice paint jobs and great choice of models!

Thanks! :)
On Monday i painted up this witch, Mater Suspiriorum, to lead a new warband in the frozen city. While Witch Doctors are maybe the coolest thing on earth i wanted a classic eastern-european type of witch - and was inspired by that old italian horror classic by Dario Argento - do you remember it? *klick* (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sB4u6qC_ORE)
In the evening i realised it was Argentos 75. birthday - kind of creepy, don't you think?
The picture is really bad, but one of my cats broke one of the two lamps i use for photos. (again witchcraft maybe..?)

The miniature is - again - a gypsy by WestWind.
Have a nice weekend,
Alexander

a very nice picture, i kinda feel the west wind sculpting style in the hands!
I see you painted the base in free-hand cobblestones! Was that to follow the style proposed by the frostgrave manual? =)
-
Wow, creepy-great figure!

Sorry for the late answer - well, i was inspired by the rulebook, yes! The style of my cobblestones is a lot less detailed and not as clean as in the rulebook anyhow - but it works.
I was asked to make a group shot in an other forum. The pictures are crap, but i want to show them anyhow!
Edit: You can right-click them to see them in bigger size in your browser.

I am pretty happy as i only need to paint my ranger now, to depict everything i want to use in my warbands. Of course only until Thaw of the Lich Lord is released.... :(
Thank you very much!

Great looking warband and terrain!
-
wonderful work
-
I love it. I think my favourite touches are the helmets on some of the soldiers - the black with red trim is great.

I see! I find your cobblestone rather realistic, good job!
I think you could do an improvement by removing the slottabases from the figures, and pinning them to the round base. That would be awesome!
-
They work out lovely. :-)
-
Great looking collection of miniatures and scenery. Really well painted. Those bases look great. Thanks for sharing
-
Very stylish!
-
Very nice! Sinister-looking chaps.

I really like the Otherworld Minis cultists. I took a look at them myself. Quite pricey though. Im in the USA.
Beautiful work on your warband.
