Title: (COMMERCIAL) A small announcement - Framson Studios open for business
Post by: FramFramson on 30 August 2015, 06:09:52 PM
Happy to announce that something I've been planning for a while is ready to go!

I am now offering services, not only as a figure painter, but as a creator of artworks of all sorts. For more information, check out my shiny new site: Framson Studios (http://www.framsonstudios.com).

A man of your talent should certainly not need it, but....

Good luck, mate!

Oho! Sounds good to me!

LAF-ers can also feel free to send me PMs!

In other news, the hard part will be advertising. Most of the other minis boards ban commercial posts, so even if I had better standing elsewhere, it wouldn't matter. Quandaries, quandaries.

Twitter? It can soak up a lot of time but it's worked for me  :)

cheers

Good luck with the venture. You have a few website typos still to find and eradicate though...... ;)

Also you may want to hide that 3% PayPal fees surcharge. Doing that is against their T&C and will get your account suspended if someone raises it with them. Besides which, even mentioning it comes across as a bit cheap (IMHO) If you want to accept PayPal payments man up and pay the fees.

Hm, didn't know it was against the T&C. I suppose it will have to go. I was on the fence about it anyway.

Let's not pretend there's anything manly about commercial surcharges though  ;) lol

Just a small update - I'm lowing the minimum order size on painted miniatures to a flat $100. This means I've had to include a minimum postal charge (previously there was only a maximum), but this may make a difference to tighter budgets.

Break a leg mate!

Quite, nor that it's as simple as 3%, there's a charge for currency exchange and one for cross border payments...  :?

Just a small FYI. The $150 minimum order size for 2D digital artwork is mainly there to set certain expectations and to keep out the riff-raff and cheapskates. That is going to remain in place on the website. However, that minimum order size on 2D artwork will not apply to LAF members.

If one of you wants something small - a single character drawing, a few heads or bits of equipment, a simple banner design, or any other such small illustrations which most reasonable people would assume would be less than my minimum order - I'm happy to waive the limit for you guys.
