Title: Question about Royal Navy Uniform.....

What is most recent point in time that this uniform was worn?
Was it worn into the twentieth century, and if so, up until when?

I am referring to the uniform that the sailors are wearing and not the officer.

It looks very similar to the uniform worn by the Royal Naval Division at the start of WWI (but with dark blue trousers).

It looks pretty similar to the WWII uniform too.

Your main drawback is the Martini Henry rifle. Not exactly sure when it was replaced but I sure it was around the ned of the C19 th?

Naval rig with gaiters was worn through to the Second World War and possibly beyond as a form of field dress and still is a s a ceremonial outfit. Naturally enough, arms and equipment have changed considerably and mirrored what was in service with the army, although the older '08 pattern Mills equipment was still pretty common for much of WW2.

The Lee-Metford rifle was introduced in 1888 and it is likely to have fully replaced the Martini-Henry by the mid-1890's among front line troops. The Copplestone DA figures were sculpted with the 1880's and 1890's in mind anyway.

I was thinking of using them for VBCW, so I wont worry about that too much.
Button counting in that 'period' would just be silly.
And who would really notice mid-game?

Easy....just use them as a naval equivalent to the home guard....protecting the royal boating lakes

Don't be absurd Mason, button counting is NEVER silly.

Don't forget the .303 Martini-Enfield carbine uses the same Mk VII ball as SMLEs & Lewis guns & Vickers.

This Herdman is holding what appears to be a Franken-Martini, or a Pass Made weapon, circa 2005.

Given that fully functional Martini-Henry .577/.450 rifles AND ammuniton still show up in Taliban weapons caches TODAY, I'd not discount its utility or efficacy in the VBCW, unless in the hands of Mad Lord Snapwallah's Devonian Legion.

As a young man in the late '70s, sans ammunition, I actually sold Martini-Henrys, carbines & rifles both. 
Sadly I never bought one.
Once they were gone, we got a shipment of both varieties of bayonets...
I let those pass too...
Never did get any proper ammo, though the adventurous rolled their own.

As The Pennsylvania Dutch say:
