One of my long term projects is to play the scenarios for WFB 2nd edition. Every since I got the 2nd edition rules and The Dolgan Raiders miniatures for Christmas all those years ago. I have started to sort out the Dolgan raiders miniatures ready for painting. I have also been looking at all the other Scenarios, Blood Bath, Lichemaster etc and have started to make some Scenery. I finally finished the coaching in I started 20n years ago See here http://quendilsworld.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/over-20-years-in-making.html (http://quendilsworld.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/over-20-years-in-making.html)
Now I have started on Abbey of la Maisontaal. Its based on the one in WD 267 rather than the card one in the old Citadel Journal.

It will no doubt take me a long time with other projects but a start is made!

The Dolgan Raiders scenario is none I always wanted to do. I've got some stuff gathered for it, but no real plan. Hope to see you do it!

Looks great! I'm having a hard time telling from the pictures, is it all foamboard? Or is there something in there for extra support?
-
Indeed. I remember that monastry and back then i found it quite nice. Although i must admit i made one ot of two cardsets that wee in WD. But this something else and i realy like it. Good work. ;-)

Very nice work. I'm thinking of making one myself based on that article. How big did you make yours?

This is a scenario I've always wanted to play, but never had the skill to set up and make it happen. Lovely looking terrain so far!
-
Not familiar with this, when you said you wanted to make scenery for the scenarios from IInd Ed, I thought you meant the sample campaign from the back of the rulebook.
It looks very nice. I wish I had the skills/bottle to make some big terrain pieces.

Heh. I opened this thread and instantly, instinctively recognised the WIP as La Maisontaal before reading the text. Nice work so far!

Thanks, I am not that skilled when you look at some of the outstanding stuff on here. I take my time so can take a while to finish but in the end you have to be happy with the result

The model abbey is looking very good already!

Man that's looking good. For a minute I thought that was an Epic Hammerhead in the background - turns out the abbey is just that big. lol
Its based on the one in WD 267 rather than the card one in the old Citadel Journal.
That's where I know it from. I think it's still lying around here somewhere...

Great work, keep it up and consider the Mikael Jacsen idea stolen! I saw the figure for sale for over £100 recently, ridiculous!

Great looking terrain and your regiments are super!! Good luck with the rest of your project. :)

Lovely stuff - I have great memories of the 'Regiments of Renown' era Warhammer. Great blog too! Thanks for sharing!

:-*
A bit late to the party, but these are beautiful. The Knights of Origo are particularly impressive.
Oh why oh why did I get rid of my Mengel Manhide's Manflayers in... 1987?
-
Always enjoy a vintage GW project. Great memories!
-
Oh yes I love the knights too, I never made it to get the full command though ;)
cheers Thomas
