Title: Query about Blue Moon 15/18mm Wild West/ACW Range
Post by: guitarheroandy on September 07, 2015, 01:13:59 PM
Does anyone have any decent painted pics of Blue Moon's War Paint, Wild West and/or ACW ranges? Am thinking of doing some 'US Cavalry and Indians' gaming and fancied trying smaller scale models... I just wondered how they paint up...they look ok when you see the bare models online.

Here a few pictures of some of the cowboys, stagecoach and buckboard. I have some civilians and buildings painted as well. I tried to post pictures but can't get it to work. :'(

Here is a link to the Photobucket:

I don't have any of the Indians or cavalry though. I hope this helps.  8)

Thanks very much - that is helpful. Looks like it might be worth taking a punt on them. They seem better than most other 15mm options I have seen for the period...

I have only seen these so can't speak to the others. I can say they paint very easily, but my painting talent doesn't do them justice. The buildings are great as well. Lots of variety and the furniture packs are a nice characterful add on too. Good luck with your project. :)

They'll paint up just fine - and give you tremendous variety at a reasonable price.  And don't forget to get an Army Card for the discount!  Blue Moon figures are great and characterful.  I'd say the Sherlock Holmes figure in one pack (not the lines you're asking about) is as nice a figure as you can find - in any scale.  Plus the folks who run Blue Moon and Old Glory are some really nice people and well worth your support.  I have bunches and bunches of Blue Moon - including Old West but not painted yet.
