Title: Hobby: Wrinkle's workbench
Post by: wrinklestiltskin on 07 September 2015, 07:47:27 PM
I'm having so much fun with Frostgrave, and I have yet to play a game. This site has given me a lot of inspiration, so I thought I'd post what I'm working on. I found a hoard of Brettonia heads in my bitbox, so I've been kitbashing a bit to make the soldier box myown.

Great start.lovely colours.kitbashing is a lot of fun and adds so much variety to make each band unique, even with a set with such variety as the frostgrave soldiers box.thanks for sharing

Very inspirational! Reminds me I've quite a lot spare Brettonian heads too!

Great painting. Really vibrant colours!

Thanks, that was exactly what I was hoping to achieve. Usually I paint my warhammer stuff more gritty, with this I wanted to do something else.  :)

The hound is indeed from Otherworld. Unfortunately I discovered their line too late, I think they've got some awesome minis. Maybe I use them for my second warband.

thanks all!

Just a short update, I'm slowly chucking away on my warband.
This looks to be the first painting project that I'm going to finish since my Mordheim warband one year ago.  ;)
Finished an archer and thief.

These guys I still have lined up to finish my enchanter warband. At first I had a treasure hunter and thug to do, but I found this model for a barbarian in my cabinet and I had to include it.

Thanks for looking!

Lovely brushwork.  :D

I'm particularly impressed by the rather stout thief.  ;)

He must have been out robbing the pie shop.

Swell devils those.

Like your mix / match war bands, hammers and bows. Lovely!

Finished an archer and thief.
Great stuff overall, but I especially like that round-faced fellow in the middle.  Lots of character in that figure!

Thanks guys.

lol, I found that head in my bitzbox and I knew I had to use it. He is now my favorite miniature, I called him Warren.

I decided to name all my characters.

I got my Thaw of the Lich lord order. The thing about fantasy, for me, is the monsters. The new cultists box immediately sparked my imagination, and I wanted to bring a little Cthulhu into Frostgrave.
This is my pip apprentence, he's not done but I wanted to show him off.

Hey buddy! Good to have you over here.

The snail is probably from a Brettonia box. Unfortunately he had an accident tonight.   :( I glued him too close to the edge, and my big thumb broke him.
