I feel most of these could also be used for the Rif Wars and other 'Arab' skirmishes.

[quoteAnother joint project thats come in to production now is the Arab Revolt
range, this is manufactured in conjunction with Brigade Games in the USA.
The first 4 packs of dismounted Arab Irregulars are done along with a T.E
Lawrence figure (there will be more than 1 version by the end of the
range). The Cavalry and camels are well under way too and should be out in
December along with some Sharifan infantry. After christmas I should have
some Turks done and some British as well. These figures fit in perfectly
with the existing Palestine range that Brigade already manufactures.http://www.artizandesigns.com/catalogue.asp?sub_range=27At long last the Moors have returned to production, all re molded and
photographed. We have changed the coding and pack contents about a bit to
make more sense and added in more unit packs to the range as well.http://www.artizandesigns.com/catalogue.asp?sub_range=6There is quite a long backlog of moulds at the moment and December should
have an even larger batch of new releases, These will include Resistance
and Partisans for WW2 some new Romano British from Steve Saleh and more
Thrilling tales and Old west bits.     [/quote]

OK, arabs already released [by the way, I am not sure whether they will be suitable for Rif wars], some frency partizans already announced and photos released, so there is lot of exciting new from Artizan!

More thrilling tales, I wonder what they will be?

Please send pics when you have the news!

Rif wars should rather be the 'North African' style Tuaregs and the likes, shouldn't it?

Participants in the Rif Wars would be mostly Berber, somewhat different from the Arab style.
However, both 'types' would have been present.
Extremely oversimplified you had- and have- the true Berbers and the more 'Arabic' berbers.

That distinction still exists. Most Morrocan immigrants in Europe are Berber and speak their own language, ie Berber, a language that is quite distinct from Arabic.

It is certainly possible to assemble a 'generic' Arab style army and by simply adding a handful of specific figures you could have an acceptable Berber or even Sanusi army.

a second thought. I also do not think that tuaregs have anything to do with the Rif wars.

Berbers are in the mountain terrain of Atlas mountains, while tuaregs are in the deep Sahara. Even the lions of Atlas mountains are different than the other african plains lions.

I think that Spanish did confront tuaregs in other regions like Rio de Oro/Spanish Sahara which is still fighting for their independence.

By the way tuaregs is the only muslim tribe that still uses cross as one of their symbols! [see their camel saddles]
