I recently finished painting up the plastic Wrecked House from Warlord/Italieri. I got it on sale and am pretty happy with it. It may be a bit small for based 28mm figures, but should still work.
It is painted with cheap craft paints, weathered with acrylic washes, a few pigments and added rubble. Nothing fancy at all but I think it came out decently (especially for the amount of effort I put into it...) I assembled it but did not attach it to the included base until I had finished with some washes.
I took a few of the pictures with some Terminator endoskeletons for scale comparison.

Either those endoskeletons are bigger then I thought or the house is smaller then I thought? They'll bang their heads going through the door from the looks of it?

It's the Italeri Wrecked House re-boxed. Pretty sure they haven't rescaled it from the original 1/72.

Yep. Warlord/Italeri repackaged it and marketed it as 1:56 for Bolt Action. I found it pretty cheap on sale on a model webstore and did not realize that. It is small, because those endoskeletons are not really Heroic Scale at all.
Having said that, it does give a decent looking terrain piece and provide cover/LOS breaks for 28mm stuff and is big enough to place a few figure in. I don't think I would have bought it knowing if I had known about the scale issue, but painted up I am happy enough with it.
