Alan's going to town on these in metal because he's obviously been bitten by the Egyptian bug but I don't think Perry Mins would be able to recoup the high costs of a plastic set.

Post by: Captain Goode on 20 October 2015, 12:59:55 PM: I am very much hoping that they will follow through on the Light Dragoons and get into the Maratta Wars in India as well as Egypt. Assaye, Seringipatan, Gwalior and the Scindia. Having walked most of the ground in the last 4 years it would be brilliant to be able to fight it all through in my dotage.

Post by: Captain Goode on 21 October 2015, 09:21:28 AM: I am quietly hopeful. With the increase in figures in the 1790s period I think it only a matter of time, and no one really does it well. I intend to commence with using useable figures from the mutiny ranges against the Perry Light Dragoons in India fig, and hope that it states the ball rolling. Some of the Round hatted figures are perfect as they are, and so are some of the other infantry. A couple of headswaps might raise some good artillery and the ubiquitous afghans of various manufacture can do duty as light horse for actions north of the Jamuna. Maybe by then it will catch hold.

Post by: Romark on 28 October 2015, 08:09:20 AM: Figures for early campaigns in India would be fantastic,as Captain Goode has mentioned some native opposition could be used from other ranges but the Sepoy troops are a stumbling block at the moment I feel .
