Great little building, but straw coloured thatch? I know many modellers represent it like that, but all the thatched buildings that I see near here have dark brown tending to black coloured roofs (unless they have VERY recently been rethatched.)

Thanks :)
they have VERY recently been rethatched.
That ;)
The building (the real one) I used as a Basis for the model had a dark Grey Roof..but I went for the light colour for a couple of reasons. I prefer it and if the rest of the building was to be done realistically the whole Thing would be a mass of different Grey tones, ok for an historical Diorama but not my wargames.
Some take longer to go darker than others, less air Pollution, less microbial activity, but, yep, they will all go dark eventually.
this one“s got stuff growing on it, so not thatched VERY recently and is still light coloured

I checked out your other pics and have to say that is really well done. The shot with the gate just sells the whole thing.
I love the urchins too! And they come with prickly armour built in! Very medieval critters.
