Title: Tanatus Saxons
Post by: Skrapwelder on 21 September 2015, 03:00:21 AM
The start of a new project for me. I picked up four packs of Tanatus Miniatures Saxons from North Star and I'm very happy with the way they turned out.

They have very lifelike proportions.

I have some armored spearman coming up next. Everything will get based once those are done.

I hope to do enough for a force fit foe Dux or Lion Rampant.

Thanks,

Mike

Very nice. I have looked at the Tanatus figures for a while as the proportions look good.  I wondered if the spears were moulded into the hands or separate?

Wow, very nice! Those faces are very impressive, both in terms of sculpts and painting.

Thanks. The spears and shields are separate.

Good work - nice to see some of these painted.

Glad to see you've done these Mike. I've often looked at them over the years and been intrigued by the distinctive style, realistic proportions, but somewhat stylised posing. Definitely something very appealing about them... Looking forward to seeing the rest.
