Hi,
We played 4 games of This Very Ground at Recruits in Lee's Summit, MO, a few days ago. Here are a few photos from Game One. Please note the new figure bases ;)
If you're interested in reading about the scenario, the rules used or the games themselves - or seeing a lot more photos - please use the following links.

Lovely terrain and figures with a great AAR. Who could ask for anything more?
Oh - who makes the figures?
-
Great stuff, I especially like the snake rail fencing. ;D
-
Wow, that is a fabulous table! How did you do the grass surface? Teddy bear fur?
I especially like the trees, did you use real branches for trunks?
Sorry for bombarding you with questions, but I really like what I see there ;)
-
These scenery is simply incredible! Lot of ideas for my own scenery!
-
My goodness, that warpaint is lovely!
I echo the comments on the terrain. What an amazing board! Recruits is a wonderful idea for a convention. What would you say was the ratio of young'uns to the grayhairs?

Hi Shandy - don't sweat the questions. If I minded I wouldn't have posted in the first place ;) For the scoop on the grass go to an earlier post here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=71838.msg999372#msg999372 (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=71838.msg999372#msg999372) The model trees and the fence are also from JG Miniatures. The "stick trees" are actual tree birch (mostly) branches cut to the desired size.
Hi Hu Rhu - figures are from John Jenkins: http://www.johnjenkinsdesigns.com/ (http://www.johnjenkinsdesigns.com/)
Thanks, All, for the compliments.
Hi Mike - Don't know fer shure what the Young'un to Grayhair ratio was at Recruits, but anecdotally I saw at least as many kids as adults, though my games had more adults than kids. . . I think the straight historical games like mine draw more adults. Maybe I'll make the Anglos vampires and the Natives werewolves and call the game "Twilight in the Wilderness" and see if that draws more young'uns :D
Bests,
Chris

Nah...hold true, Cluck! My guess is all the adults are savvy enough to sign up right away and fill up all the spots!
