Hi guys,
I've got the Warlord SS Charlemagne set and there are a couple of figures with a patch on the left arm that I cant quite figure out. There's the obvious eagle patch and then the patch for the french tricolour but there's one triangular patch in-between those two on three of the figures. Any ideas?
Also two of them have what looks to be the green on black rank insignia on the right sleeve. Shouldn't this be on the left sleeve?
All help much appreciated :)

You mean like this?

Ah yep thats it thanks! So it's just a private's rank insignia. They painted one of them up in a camo pattern so it had me confused as I didn't think they included those on the camouflaged patterns.

Corporal or lance-corporal. You are correct there was a system of bars for camo uniforms, although this was not always obeyed.
-
Thanks for that. Any idea about the bars being on the left sleeve?

Sorry right sleeve

Sorry right sleeve
Don't know without seeing the figure, it could be possibly be a tank destruction award.

Awesome thanks. Both are carrying panzerfausts so that seems likely. Nailed it!

Sorry right sleeve
Feck spent ages finding a photo of the left sleeve - most show the right - no eagle but has French flank and rank insignia
There are some with round badges too and the tank destruction ones are rectangles.

I'm afraid that second link is in violation of forum rules - the page linked contains pictures with SS-insignia.
