what component do we nee to use to create snow effect on scenery and bases? Thank you

For a permanent effect I use different materials from model train manufacturers and the Games Workshop snow. For a temporary effect the 4ground snow is suitable as far as I know.

But their are other techniques, e.g. this guy uses baking soda:
