Title: A Simple Trade - a Pulp Alley Game
Post by: blacksoilbill on September 28, 2015, 03:18:15 AM
It should be a simple trade - cash for treasure. But things rarely go to plan. Best to bring some support to help things go smoothly, or something...

We played this game the other week at the club: four players including one first-timer. This is a scenario I'd played a number of years ago as a Saga game. One of the players had played it way back then - he had a good chuckle when he realised what was going on.

Dr Veruckthaar began with the archaeological treasure. In theory, he was planning to sell it to Jack Sampson, who you can see hauling crates of cash. Each league was 'supported' by a second league. Veruckthaar by the cultists, Jack by he tramp steamer crew. Each league had their own secret objectives.

The report, in all it's duplicitous, back-stabbing glory, is over on the blog: http://preacherbyday.blogspot.com/2015/09/a-simple-trade-pulp-alley-game.html (http://preacherbyday.blogspot.com/2015/09/a-simple-trade-pulp-alley-game.html)
