Title: My Elizabethan Irish warband.
Post by: THE CID on September 29, 2015, 02:07:59 PM
As the title says, here is a bunch of big hairy Irishman. This has been an on off project over the last year or so. These are the old Graven images Irish, sculpted by the much missed late Jim Bowen. Each figure is a character in its own right. I have also made a few small conversions, mainly beards and patches on clothing etc. The flag was made from a old foil toothpaste tube.
I hope you like the figures, any comments welcome. I am also looking to sell this warband in the next couple of months to raise cash for another project, any serious offers considered.

Lovely figures, what scale are they, I heard they run around 35-40mm

Hello,

Well constructed warband.

Great figures. Full of character.

Made excellent by your brush and technical skills.

Best,

I'm currently painting some of the Graven Images Borderers, and as you say they really are characterful miniatures. You're painting does them justice too - nice work!

Thanks guys for the nice comments, I've just put them up for sale in the Bazaar. I would love to keep them, but need cash for new project.
