Do you blend at all or are the highlights entirely layer-by-layer? I've seen some of your work before and always wondered about that.
Also, could you say where's the first miniature from, the one with a sword-cane? Love it!

just layer on layer, the paint is thinned so that when it dries it doesn't look as stark.
Figure is resin, no idea where from :-[
