At first I was meh on the plastic box set but I have changed my mind and actually love how easy they are to paint! There isnt too much variety with the heads and some of the weapons but its worth it. I loved the summoner models but I also noticed they are a lot bigger than than the plastics probably over 30mm. I had fun painting up the figs for our groups upcoming games...still a lot more to do! Here are just a few I painted up this past month. The Lantern guy with Backpack and missing eye (aka My treasure hunter) is my fave. And I am finally putting some of my GW stuff to good use!

Lovely painting.
Didn't realize the metal wizards are "out of scale" with the plastic soldiers.
-
Super impressive. I especially like the lantern-bearer, who looks like he would make a good witch hunter's henchman.
-
Great painting. I really like the treasure hunter with his missing eye I can see why he's your favourite.
Frostgrave is a great excuse for bringing lots of old figs out of retirement isn't it.
Thanks for sharing

Very impressive. Please keep posting with updates.
I was planning on removing the inherent bases from the plastic soldiers but now a bit concerned that they might be too short if I do that.
-
Beautiful painting, I like the clear red robe of the wizard.
I noticed the difference in scale. When playing it has the advantage that the most important miniature can be easily identified.
-
Oh those are great! Lovely crisp, vibrant painting! :-*

Very nice, love it! And a cool little Mordheim hommage ;)
-
These look great...can't wait for my Nickstarter to turn up...

Maybe all that exposure to magic makes you grow faster.... ;)
Nice painting...I love the signpost.

I'm very impressed. Great work.

Excellent work.
And the Frostgrave/Mordheim sign is a wonderful touch.
-
Thanks everyone! Haha yeah that sign was was a last minute idea but i think it works :) I actually havent played yet and hope to this friday. Hopefully it will give me some more inspiration to paint up some new stuff!

Great painting!
What's your recipe for Zed skin, please?
-
You've actually managed to make the GW zombies look decent, top job there!
Love the colour scheme, summoner. Does look big doesn't he.
-
Wow! Awesome paint job. So vibrant and good.
-
Top notch work! Aren't those Frostgrave plastics sweet?
-
If any-one is worried with the difference in height (wizards to soldiers) do what I did to my recycled old figures, put a bit of card under them then hide it with :-filler; flock; treasure; skulls etc. When the tops of the heads are about the same, the difference in scale is much less noticeable.

Lovely stuff.

Very nicely painted... and I'm totally going to have to steal that sign!! lol
