Hi! Thanks for all the support with the original shieldmaiden unit, I had no idea it would end up impossible to keep in stock, the demand was crazy!
It's now back in stock, in METAL! Woohoo!
Also a brand new unit to show you, berserkers. Of course not the nude/flailing boobs you might expect.
These ladies are filled with fury and redemption and will hack and slash in a blind rage at anybody in the path of their whirlwind of destruction. Fuelled by adrenaline, they sometimes struggle to tell friend from foe, and are often seen quivering, frothing and gnashing their teeth, sometimes biting their gnarled teeth down onto shields, weapons and whatever else is to hand.
Obviously great for dark ages but also generic fantasy such as Frostgrave and actually the third one across (I haven't named them yet) looks like there's a post apoc conversion in there too!
Sculpted by John Morris/Mystic Spirals, same chap who did my Boudiccas. He'll be painting them when he gets a chance too. The Boudiccas are being put into metal as we speak, and there are two more celts to come [hopefully] in time for Crisis!
More dark ages/Vikings being worked on!

John Morris, says up there in all my text :D
He's the chap behind these

These are going OOP soon in that form as they're switching to metal too. He's also completed two more Celt Queens, Cartimandua being one :D He's primarily a painter (for Gripping Beast, Perry etc) with a bit of sculpting on the side, but I've kicked him up the backside to use his sculpting talents a bit more (then as a bonus, he paints them afterwards!)

Oops o_o o_o
Thanks, I've been an admirer of his brushwork for many a year :)
I used to paint for Gripping Beast too... loads of my stuff scattered about their site. :)

That's probably why the GB site is so attractive...... IMHO a benchmark for other manufacturers

I wasn't alone! Darren has one of the most deft hands and there was Dave Woodford and J from Mystic Spirals (the very man above) too among many others who chipped in.

Darren Linington (spelling?) is sickeningly good!
Sometimes I see models online which have terrible paintjobs and it's a shame, as I've seen them in the flesh and know them to be lovely.
Sculpts aren't cheap, so I have no problem paying that bit extra to get a top quality painting that really does the model justice, hence using the Cubster and Mystic Spirals for my paintjobs. They're both a bit busy at the moment, and I wanted to get these models out (some Vigilante Schoolgirls released yesterday too) so a simple ink wash does the trick until then, so at least you can see the model clearly.

Hey, I'd happily paint all of your models for free!
First, let me say, I really, really like your concept! Real women in miniature games is just awesome. Awesome!
So, I'd happily paint stuff for you for free! Well, preferably not completely free... if you send the figures, I'll paint them and hand over rights to the photos... but I want to keep the miniatures :)
Here are some of my better works:

These look great...as do the others on your site...really like your whole approach to these figures...how long until the other figures are produced in metal rather than resin ?
-
Those are nice looking models, on par with your other Vikings, etc.
You're all amazing painters that we mere mortals can never hope to match.
I agree it's a shame with the calibre of painters out there to see poor paint jobs or permanently unpainted pictures on webshops.

Beautiful painting, the golden armour especially :-*

Thanks so much.
Boudicca in both forms will be re released at Crisis (7th November) with a small difference - the spear won't be cast, they are such a pain in metal, either too bendy or tree trunk thick, so she will be supplied with a strong wire North Star spear. Mog and Bloom (orcs) will also be the same time, with more orc friends. As well as two new celtsand a few other goodies!
I'm phasing out resin, though I have some ogres in various stages, they will be resin. Everything else metal.

Cheers Neldoreth, I'm good for painters at the moment, but thanks for the offer, your paintjobs are lovely!
