Here's the first five miniatures I've painted in sixteen years. Nice to see I haven't lost my lazy heavy handed touch. Just a random selection of old miniatures. Planning to use a couple of them for Frostgrave. Still working on a better photo setup, but one thing at a time. Been interesting using acrylics as back in the day I was a staunch enamel man.

Yeah, paint slapped on like a cheap whores makeup. You know it's going to be fun time when you see that.

Well done - Good effort for your first try with acrylics. :)

A pretty good effort. Hope it keeps you in the saddle.

They look good to me! Welcome back and keep at it!

Nothing wrong there. Nice bit of effort, look forward to seeing more :)

Good work there! I recently got back into the hobby after a 20 year absence or so, and it's amazing how quickly you can pick it all up again. I'm only slightly ashamed of my recent efforts now...

Nice painting.
I too have somehow managed to go years without touching a paintbrush (many projects started but now just ranks of naked plastic and lead in box files when some other project took my fancy).
Frostgrave has finally got me past the modelling stage, still a way off being finished but a start none the less.
Thanks for sharing

Indeed. Congratulations. ;-)

Painting is like bike riding in that it is something you never forget, although painting requires less leg movement...for the most part. All that aside, the new foray into painting turned out in FINEfashion. VERY NICELY DONE one & all!

Brilliant effort given the 16 year absence. Took me a while to get back into the swing of it after a few years not painting a thing but you'll be amazed how quickly it comes back. The problem I find is motivation to keep at it and finding the time to set aside for it. Welcome back and good luck with the future endeavours :) Hope to see more soon

Looks well, now keep on painting so there won't be another drought.

Doesn't look like you've had a sabbatical! Nice work!
