A fellow Colonial gamer named Jim Ferich stopped by my Maiwand Day blog and then emailed me pics of this model, which he commissioned the legendary Chris Riordan, AKA: Chris The Model Maker, to build for him. I am a big fan of Chris's work and am lucky enough to own several of his pieces. I was so impressed by this one I asked Jim if I could devote a post to it on my blog, and he graciously gave me his enthusiastic approval.
In an effort to share it with all those I think will enjoy and appreciate it, I'm also posting all the pics here, so no need to visit my blog, but if you do care to visit, here's a handy link:

And without further ado, here is "The Rajah's Palace," built by Chris The Model Maker, from the collection of Jim Ferich:

How much to get one run through the hot water to shrink it down to 15 mm! Nice. Understatement slightly over the top.

That sure is something. I hope I get the chance to sack it one of these days.
-
Ged, I second your opinion and thanks for sharing it -- and I will be nice and not ask you when there will be additions to your Maximillian Intervention range, specifically more Legion figures -- whoops, I guess I just did, but no need to reply!
Leapsnbounds: agree with your sentiments as well, and love your user image -- "BURN!"/"Queimada" is one of my favorite movies of all time!
-
Very sweet.
Love it. :-*
Thanks for sharing.
-
A stunning piece that's right up there with anything I've seen! :-* :-* :-*
I'd love to own something of that nature :)
Darrell.
